Calçada

The Calçada house is truly unique, offering you a beautiful patio with a pool that overlooks the Sado River and Alcácer do Sal. Large windows flood the interior with natural light, seamlessly blending the indoors with the outdoors – at times, it almost feels like the pool is part of the interior space. The decor is designed to reuse and leverage the traditional Alentejo style. The whites from the Portuguese cobblestone and salt are featured predominantly in its décor. You will feel harmony within yourself and have a deep connection with nature and Portuguese culture.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The entire place has been renovated in a unique style. It features simple lines, white walls, and natural flooring.
There are three rooms available that fit up to 6 people: two are located within the main house, and the other is in an adjacent smaller apartment. Both share access to the patio with the pool.

In the main house, the spacious kitchen provides ample room and a dining table for indoor meals, although it is equipped simply with basic utensils for cooking. Room 1 features a double bed and a private bathroom. Room 2 connects to the living area and includes two single beds, as well as a bathroom. Please note that Room 1 can be accessed either from outside (via a private door directly to the room) or through Room 2. Some guests appreciate this arrangement, while others prefer more separation between rooms. Either way, we look forward to welcoming you.
The smaller apartment (which is room 3) offers a double bed and a bathroom.

Outside, you’ll find your wonderful terrace overlooking peaceful rice fields with a pool, and a dining table for enjoying meals. Whether you prefer quiet relaxation, or reading your book in peace, this is the perfect place.
